Farewell, Beckham 17

News of David Beckham's retirement has gotten out a few days ago. Although I'm not such of a soccer fan, I'd know better that it's a pity that Beckham (soccer legend) is retiring. Still it warms my heart that he actually doing so for his family (to be able to spend more time with them).

And it's safe to say this will not be the last of us seeing David. It would be no surprise he might just pop up in Fashion industry as well like how he did for H&M a few months ago. I loved that campaign by the way.

 For those who have missed it (I highly doubt so)...


 Thank you Mr Beckham for being hot and sexy for us girls. And have a happy retirement!

Design Collab. Wave at Topshop

London Fashion Week has gotta wait again! Another hot fash news..

After that mad craze for Marni at H&M, now another designer collaboration is once again stepping into the spotlight. This time Mary Kantrantzou x Topshop is leading the fash fans to insanity.

Pieces of her designs will be out for sale tomorrow at 10am, Topshop Knightbridge in SG which includes her signature porcelain bowl design & prints. The line ranges from 200 plus SGD to over 800 SGD, still a small price to pay for a Kantrantzou. And I'm in looooove with the sleeveless blouse already. Hmmm....

But for those who are not into too fancy prints of Kantrantzou or would wanna covert an designer item but at a lower price,

NEWGEN is one collection you should be looking at. Topshop has invited 20 NEWGEN recipients from the last 10 years such as Christopher Kane, Richard Nicoll, Gareth Pugh... to design limited edition t-shirts for charity. All proceeds will go towards a charity in the UK devoted to helping homeless young people. And here are some of my picks from the collection...

100 Years of Fashion

I love this video it shows fashion from 1911 to present year, 2011.
A 100 years of fashion done fabulously in an 100 minute video with great dance choreography. Very nice.

For fashion students/enthusiast like me, try spotting the different fashion periods!
I saw post-war, flappers, mods, hippie, disco, etc.. This is a really fun video on Fashion History. Go watch it! ;)

Karl Lagerfeld x Macy's

Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Macy's was out a few days ago.

How did you guys think of it? I love how Karl added a little of the Chanel-esque, Tweed, into the collection. And now ladies who can't afford Chanel or Lagerfeld designs, this would be a great place to go to.
I looooove the ad campaign especially with one of my fav. models, Coco Rocha starring beautifully in it. My favorite shot here is the one with Karl's personal library was background. Very very pretty that I'd wish I can see his library and read all his books!
Either way, the collection/s alright. probably little old for me nonetheless I found some outfits I really like (below).

Oh my Rainbow!

Trend Spotted- Rainbow hair dyes!
Honestly, have you guys noticed the number of celebs dyeing their hair in the utmost bright shade of funky colour ever?!
If you have not, Check them out!

Well if you asked me, the ones that really rock their rainbow hairs are Lady Gaga (green bob) & Carrie Underwood (pink highlights). Seriously, I know the latest 'in' trend right now is the fading-out tip-dye seen on Kate Bosworth here. No it's not working for me. Maybe it'll work in other colours or on someone else.

Also, if you were to dye your hair with bright colours like this, do make sure your hair is well-conditioned. 'Cause it'll just look like a hair-dye gone wrong with awful dry-looking hair. And of course I have an example with me-Pixie Gedolf.

But for now the ones which are leading this trend is definitely Gaga & Underwood. Bravo ladies, bravo!
