Milan Fashion Week Part I

I've always liked laces. Black ones are really sexy, mysterious and chic (if your wear them well) and white ones are pure, angelic and feminine.
This time around Dolce & Gabbana's got into wear less for more again (if you'd remember the last s/s 2010 collection) But I'll have to admit they did well with the laces. Because just one wrong step, RTW (Ready-To-Wear) could easily turn into RTS (Ready-To-Sleep). Though there were some which are dangerous on the fence... Most of them were good.

Okay, Marni... Think sporty, bright eye-popping colours and swim caps. YES, swim caps!
Marni this time round, erm... I'm not so into it. There were some prints going on here and to me they were too toooo much.
You can't have bright colours on granny prints! No no!
And there're even bright sequins with weird prints! No no no!
But still there're some which are quite alright, rather cute for a round of tennis game or a few laps at the pool. And yeah, THAT'S ALL.
I so love Marni, just not this time...

Brioni: First thing first, what's with that chili necklace?! LOL. That was totally NOT chic.
Anyway what I like about this collection is the earth tone matching well together with a bright colour (in this case, red)

Next, Salvatore Ferragamo... Okay first, no I don't like the bandanna. There're reasons why bandanna are out of trend for YEARS. And nope, I'm not going there (haters alert). Otherwise,
I love the colour choices. I know I know I've been saying this LOADSA times
but neutral and smoothing colours appeals to me, a lot.

Aquilano Rimondi: This is how you do bright colours!

Okay there'll be no photos of Missioni collection here because I'm not a fan of tribal prints and square hats. If you like both, please do go check them out.

Marco de Vincenzo's prints make me do a double take. Love it! But erm, the one with orchids,
no. It make me feel like there's living piece of art painting walking around. Weird.
But yeah they do shout Spring/ Summer.

Versace's Versus- Another bright colours with prints combination. I love how those prints that are of different colours are put together. Brilliant!

As for Bottega Veneta, two words: Loose fit.

Moschino Cheap & Chic goes totally retro!
But for me it's like girl in candy world, literally. Seeing it totally brightens my day and it kinda makes me happy (just like eating candy).
Great collection! TOTALLY CUUUUUUTE!

Jil Sander: Simple silhouette with a touch of spring, love it! P.S. Are those grocery bags I'm seeing?
